Pork and Beetroot Stew Recipe

Ingredients

2½ pounds pork; leg or shoulder, cut into square pieces
8 beets, peeled and sliced
4 onions, peeled and sliced
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
Water
Seasonings to taste

Recipe Instructions

Cook the stew.
Heat the butter in a large frying pan and fry the meat and the onions over a medium heat.  Empty the contents of the frying pan into a pot and sprinkle over the flour.  Add the beetroot and the seasoning and cover the contents with water.  Cover the pot and cook the stew for 50 minutes.

Serve.
Serve immediately with rice or mashed potato.
