A simple relish that is quick and easy to make. An ideal accompaniment to serve with lamb.
Ingredients
2 large beetroots, peeled and grated
120ml red wine
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Recipe Instructions
Make the relish.
Heat a frying pan and toast the cumin and sesame seeds until they turn slightly brown. Add the olive oil, the beetroot and the brown sugar and stir together. Add the wine and simmer the mixture for 2 – 3 minutes.
